Monica Lewinsky, 32, who is in London studying for a master’s degree in social psychology, has agreed to join “Bang” Pauro, 24, and his freshers at their “foam party.” Pauro, the Quad union’s entertainment manager, invited Lewinsky to his London School of Economics student “welcome birthday party” Sept. 27.Her hopeful words to her friends in Gotham: “Maybe I will meet my husband there and have some kids.” Notable alumni of the London School of Economics include Cherie Blair and Sir Mick Jagger. And of course Monica’s old friend, former President Bill Clinton, lectured there on globalization in 2001.
‘Great Trailer’ talk
Proud papa and WMAL radio show host Fred Grandy is shamelessly promoting – with ticket giveaways – Broadway’s new musical, “The Great American Trailer Park.” A little nepotism here: The show, which opened last week, stars his daughter, Marya, who plays Linoleum, and described “Trailer Park” for her father’s listeners as including “strippers, adultery, agoraphobia, ’80s nostalgia, roadkill, disco and even a broken electric chair.” Grandy himself is a former “Love Boat” actor turned congressman turned radio host.

Washingtonian magazine is turning 40 and they had a celebration bash last night. The city magazine has been one of the most successful in the country.
Weekly Standard hits 10
And another publication, the Murdoch-owned Weekly Standard, celebrated its 10th anniversary the other evening on the roof of 101 Constitution Ave. Tina Brown wrote in her Washington Post column last week that Rupert Murdoch might abandon the “neo-cons” as he repositions for a Hillary run for the White House. Well, you wouldn’t have known it at this bash: Murdoch, who flew down from New York in his private jet with Jane Friedman, CEO of HarperCollins (another Murdoch company), seemed quite chummy with a horde of neo-cons and friends of the magazine – including Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes, Tucker Carlson, WMAL “Danger Zone” producer Buckley Carlson; Rep. Katherine Harris, R-Fla.; former Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham; Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn.; former Michigan Gov. John Engler, former Attorney General John Ashcroft, and Mort Kondracke, and his fiancee, Marguerite Sallee with locked hands. She recently marked her first anniversary as head of America’s Promise. Spotted near the buffet table was a lone Democrat, the ubiquitous James Carville.

We hear that the very chic Cassandra “Cassi” Chandler, one of the few women – and a black woman to boot – to ever become an assistant director of the FBI, is leaving her post at the Hoover Building to take over as Special Agent in Charge in the Norfolk, Va., office.
Organic curve
Restaurant Nora, the first certified organic restaurant in the U.S., was popular last weekend at the Natural Products Expo in town. Nora Pouillon, proprietor of the Dupont Circle restaurant, predicts, “We’ll see more of them, and not only white-tablecloth restaurants.” And what else would you expect? There’s even a House Organic Caucus in the Congress.
